Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 2025
1. Introduction
ClickSolveTools ("we," "us," "our") operates the website clicksolvetools.com. We are committed to protecting the privacy of every person who visits our site or uses any of our free browser-based tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, the cookies and tracking technologies we employ, and the rights available to you under applicable privacy laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). By using ClickSolveTools you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.
2. Data We Collect
Tool Usage Data — None
Every tool on ClickSolveTools processes data entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any data you input into our tools. Files you open — including PDFs, images, audio, and documents — are processed on your device and never leave your device. Text inputs, calculation values, and generated outputs remain exclusively in your browser's memory and are discarded when you close the page.
Analytics Data — With Consent Only
If you grant consent, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) collects anonymized, aggregate usage data. This includes pages visited, time spent on the site, general geographic region (country/city level), device and browser type, screen resolution, and referral source. GA4 does not collect personally identifiable information in our configuration. Analytics data is only collected after you explicitly opt in through our cookie consent banner.
Advertising Data — With Consent Only
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements that help fund the site. With your explicit consent, AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalized ads based on your browsing history across the web. If you do not consent, you may still see ads, but they will be non-personalized. Advertising cookies are loaded only after you grant consent.
3. Cookies & Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. We categorize the cookies and storage mechanisms used on ClickSolveTools as follows:
| Category | Name | Expiry | Required? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | — | — | None used |
| Analytics (optional) | _ga, _ga_* |
2 years | Consent required |
| Advertising (optional) | Google AdSense cookies | Varies | Consent required |
| Consent Preference | localStorage |
Persistent | Not a cookie; never transmitted |
Your consent preference is stored in your browser's localStorage.
It is not a cookie, is never transmitted to any server, and can be cleared at any time through
your browser settings or by using the "Cookie Settings" link in our footer.
4. How We Use Data
When you grant consent, the data collected is used for the following limited purposes:
- Analytics: To understand which tools are most popular, how visitors navigate the site, and where we should focus improvement efforts.
- Advertising: To serve relevant advertisements through Google AdSense, which helps fund the ongoing development and hosting of ClickSolveTools.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. We do not build individual user profiles, and we do not use collected data for any purpose other than those stated above.
5. Third-Party Services
ClickSolveTools relies on the following third-party services, each of which operates under its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymized traffic analytics (privacy policy).
- Google AdSense — advertising (privacy policy).
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and DDoS protection (privacy policy).
-
CDN providers — we load open-source libraries from
cdnjs.cloudflare.comandcdn.jsdelivr.net. These providers may log HTTP requests per their own privacy policies.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services to understand how they handle data. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.
6. Your Rights
GDPR Rights (European Union / EEA)
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; rectify inaccurate data; erase your data ("right to be forgotten"); restrict processing; data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format); and object to processing. Because our tools do not collect personal data, these rights primarily apply to analytics data collected by Google. You may exercise these rights by contacting us or by adjusting your consent preferences.
CCPA Rights (California)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information is collected; delete your personal information; and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.
All Users
Regardless of your location, you can change your cookie and tracking preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of any page on ClickSolveTools. You can also clear cookies and localStorage data directly through your browser settings.
7. Children's Privacy
ClickSolveTools is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because our tools do not require accounts, logins, or any form of data submission, there is no mechanism through which a child would provide personal information to us. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will take prompt steps to delete it.
8. Data Retention
Analytics data collected through Google Analytics 4 is retained by Google for a default period of 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. We do not store any other user data on our servers. Your consent preference persists in your browser's localStorage until you clear it or change your preference. No user-input data is ever retained, as all tool processing occurs client-side and is discarded when the page is closed.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the services we offer, or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and post the updated policy here. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of ClickSolveTools after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice through the site (such as a banner notification).
10. Contact Us
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at privacy@clicksolvetools.com. We will make every reasonable effort to respond to your inquiry within 30 days.
